Comments and contact

Comments store your name, optional email address and message. Your email is never displayed publicly. Comments are reviewed before publication. Contact messages store the information you send so that I can respond. Reactions use a hashed visitor identifier to reduce repeat voting.

Visits

The site records page paths, visit times, device categories, referring website hostnames and a hashed visitor identifier. Raw IP addresses are not stored by the application analytics. Hosting providers may maintain their own server logs. Visit records are kept for up to 90 days when the scheduled cleanup is enabled.

Email updates

Subscriptions require email confirmation. Your email is used for journal updates, and every update contains an unsubscribe link.

External services

Fonts and map scripts are served from this website. The interactive map uses locally served country boundaries from Natural Earth. No external map request is required to browse your travel places. Social links open separate websites.
